Government Construction Projects in India
India is growing fast. , many government departments are working on big construction projects. These projects are managed by the Public Works Department (PWD), Rural Engineering Services (RES), Municipal Corporations, and other agencies. Public Works Department (PWD)
PWD is building and repairing roads, bridges, and government buildings. One major project is the Jetpur-Gondal-Rajkot highway widening in Gujarat. The Government of Maharashtra is building a 650-bed hospital and a 150-seat medical college in Gondia. This project will improve healthcare in the region. It is managed by the Medical Education and Drugs Department.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is building schools for tribal students. These schools will have hostels, classrooms, and sports facilities. The goal is to give better education to tribal children.
Central Vista Redevelopment
In New Delhi, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) is working on the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. This includes a new Parliament building and government offices. The project started in 2020 and will finish by 2026. It will cost around ₹20,000 crores.
Renewable Energy and Smart Cities
The Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat is one of the world’s largest solar and wind parks. It will help India reduce pollution and produce clean energy.
